Recycling raw materials from end-of-life electronics is the most effective solution to the growing e-waste problem. Most electronic devices contain a variety of materials, including metals that can be recovered for future uses. By dismantling and providing reuse possibilities, intact natural resources are conserved and air and water pollution caused by hazardous disposal is avoided.
Additionally, recycling reduces the amount of greenhouse gas emissions caused by the manufacturing of new products. It simply makes good sense and is efficient to recycle and to do our part to keep the environment green.
Process of Recycling
E-waste Recycling activities at Eco Layer E-Waste Recycling commences with the receipt of e-waste material from various companies clients locations.
- The material is initially weighed, and is separated product-wise (monitors, CPUs, printers, keyboards, etc.) for easy retrieval.
- The material is then checked by qualified engineers to ascertain whether the equipments are working or non-working.
- If the equipment is in working/ near-working condition, then the engineers attempt to repair/ upgrade the equipments to ensure that they become re-marketable and can be resold.
- If the equipments are not in working condition, then they manually dismantled and below procedure is applied.
